People can Download free beats and sound packs, no sign-up required or fee to pay.
What inspired you to launch your own website?
After looking for beats online myself i found i either had to pay money or get rubbish ones for free, im hoping to help other musicians/producers to get decent beats without having to pay for them.
When did you launch your first website, and what was it?
this is my first website and the site was launched in February.
How did you decide on a name for your website?
it proved relevant to what i was trying to do
What makes your website different from other, similar offerings?
i dont ask anyone to sign-up or to pay anything etc, everything is free like it says, there are no catches
What is your eventual goal? (To sell it, keep it for income, secure a book or other mainstream media deal?)
to keep expanding the site, offering more things to download such as sound packs, vintage drum kits etc.
How does your investment of time and money balance against your success?
i haven't invested any money into it (so far) but i am ranking well in google which helps people to notice the site which is what i wanted in the first place,
If you had an unlimited development budget for development, how would you change your site?
I would get a professional to create a layout for the site, insted of my amateur attempt.
If your site got really big, really quickly, would you be able to keep up with the demand?
i would like to think i could, i don't seem to be having any problems lately and i'm getting a steady amount of visitors each day.
What unexpected costs and headaches have you had to deal with?
Nothing so far, only on the development side of the website.
What has been your biggest challenge?
trying to get the website noticed is the hardest thing so far which i am still trying to improve on.
What method has been most successful for promoting your website?
posting on music related forums, its what people there are after.
How has running your website differed from your expectations?
its not as easy as people think it is to just start a website and think everything will just work by itself, it takes a lot of time and work.
How long have you run the site already, and how long will you continue to keep it up if you don't enjoy big gains in traffic, income or popularity?
so far its been running for 3 months, the traffic has been increasing slowly but im not expecting 1000's of visitors everyday, im happy with it at the moment and i will keep on updating the site which i enjoy doing for myself.
Have i enjoyed this interview?
very much so!
