Name of your website?

Future Sounds Recording Studio

Your name?

Russell Moran

Your Location (city, etc)

Grand Prairie, TX

Please give us a short summary of your website?

The website is a site for musicians and future musicians alike. The site offeres a recording studio and mastering services. Our primary site offers music lessons for all ages.

What inspired you to launch your own website?

Our recording studio and music lessons needed advertisement and a website was logical for our services.

When did you launch your first website, and what was it?

I launched it in August of 2007 and it was the same.

How did you decide on a name for your website?

When we started our business in August 2007.

What makes it different from other, similar offerings?

I have not found another place designed like our facility. We offer a music lessons and a recording studio in one location. A total one-stop-shop for the musician wanting to give lessons, take lessons, record, learn to record, mix or master music.

What is your eventual goal? (To sell it, keep it for income, secure a book or other mainstream media deal?)

I plan on franchising my business and have it on every corner.

How does your investment of time and money balance against your success?

We just started in August 2007 so at this point we are still balancing our efforts. It is definitely worth it though.

If you had an unlimited development budget for development, how would you change your site?

I would have upload forms to upload multiple audio files for mastering instead of FTP. I would have a database for all the local teachers we have so students can pick who they want.

If your site got really big, really quickly, would you be able to keep up with the demand?

Of course. I would hire more people to supply the demand.

What unexpected costs and headaches have you had to deal with?

Advertising.

What has been your biggest challenge?

Advertising.

What method has been most successful for promoting your website?

Adwords, radio ads, and word of mouth.

How has running your website differed from your expectations?

More time consuming.

How long have you run the site already, and how long will you continue to keep it up if you don't enjoy big gains in traffic, income or popularity?

I have run it for 2 months. I will continue to maintain, but will not do anything drastic if there is not the demand.
