What inspired you to launch your own website?

With todays internet craze, we feel it's almost more important to be seen on the web more so than in book form print. Realistically, advertising any where you can is ideal. Now with that being said, a nice looking web site can be taken as a modern day store front.

When did you launch your first website, and what was it?

We have had a myspace profile for years which has done really well for us as far as reaching musicians and bands looking for the ideal place to record. More recently we decided to move ahead and launch an official web site with hopes to spread the word about our beaustiful recording studio.

How did you decide on a name for your website?

We would have liked to have a shorter name for the site to make it easier for artist to find us, although with the internet growing so much daily pretty much everyname you decide on has been already chosen!

What makes it different from other, similar offerings?

The Soundscape Recording Studio is different than your average run of the mill studios in many ways. Some being: Our facility is owned and operated by veteran musicians with a strong passion for the art of music. We also pride ourselves by keeping our rates as low as possible! $30.00/ Hr!

What is your eventual goal?

Our over all goal is to work with the music industries most talented songwriters and musicians. We feel there are so many gifted artist in and around our state that need nothing more than to be heard.

How does your investment of time and money balance against your success?

It's a very tough industry to be ine to, I would have to say it changes daily. We love what we do, so it's not so much of an issue as far as the balance equates to.

If you had an unlimited development budget for development, how would you change your site?

We would continue to seek out continued knowledge and upgrade as often as possible.

If your studio demand got really big, really quickly, would you be able to keep up?

I'd like to think the answer to that would e yes.

What unexpected costs and headaches have you had to deal with?

I can't really say that we have found too many headaches or unexpeted cost (knock on wood!) Every day running a full service recording studio at a great rate is something we have been working hard stay on top of. This alone can sometimes be difficult.

What has been your biggest challenge?

Reaching new bands and songwriters.

What method has been most successful for promoting your website?

Local music papers and myspace.

How has running your Recording Studio differed from your expectations?

Having been doing it for so long, I'd have to say it's exactly what I expected.

How long has The Soundscape been open to the pulic?

Originally the studio was designed as a project studio, and then a few years ago we decided to open our doors to local musicians and bands with hopes to bring a deeper creative quality of recording to new hungry artist.
